Ten Years Gone-Palmetto Ska: I got my first lesson in Ska 101 with this one. Founding Ten Years Gone member, Jason Sain described the style to me as kind of a cross between alternative and reggae with a lot of skippy bass notes. There is definitely a heavy alternative presence throughout the CD. And the reggae effect does glimmer through from time to time. I have to admit I still don't completely understand the style but if you're looking for something a little different this one is definitely worth a listen.
